International Superstars : GlossyBox

With ending of the Olympic games this months GlossyBox theme: International Superstars, seems very befitting. I really like that the products in the limited edition boxes are all hero products from around the world, giving us the chance to try out cult status items without leaving the comfort of our own homes!

Lipcote -  United Kingdom

The original lipstick sealer and secret of long lasting, feather fade and water resistant lipstick'

I can't wait to try this product out and I'm so glad to have received it! Wow this product brings back memories! A friend of mine used to use lipcote all the time when we were younger and I remember always asking to use it again and again. Its a great little must have product for lipstick lovers who don't want to worry about lipstick transferring, whether that be on a glass or melting off your face. It pairs perfectly with the Glossybox lipstick too! RRP £3.99 (7ml)

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil - Japan

'This revolutionary water-soluable cleanser is better than any other make-up remover you've ever tried'

This Japanese cleansing oil is a highly talked about iconic product. It contains quite a few skin-loving ingredients such as olive oil and Vitamin E. What I love most about this product is its compact ingredients list, sometimes simplicity is most effective, plus it contains zero parabens! Full size 200ml £18.50

Valentina Addoluto Eau De Parfum - Italy

'intentionally seductive, intense, beautiful feminine fragrance by Valentino'

I don't really get that excited about receiving perfume samples in Glossybox, I find they just tend to get put into a draw and I never see them again. Valentina is a lovely
feminine fragrance but not one I'll be investing in. Full size 50ml £61.

Vera Valenti  L'Ombre a Paupiere Margarita - Spain

This is a eyeshadow palette from Spanish brand Vera Valenti. It contains 10 different eyeshadow shades and a sponge tip applicator. I'm not too keen on this palette as the shadows are quite poorly pigmented which is a shame as I enjoy using compact palettes for a quick and easy makeup look. RRP £3.85.

Alessandro Pro White - Germany

Optically brightening effect nail polish with anti-yellowing formula for radiant white and gleaming nails'

I was very intrigued by this product and will definitely be using it as a base coat before nail polish applications in hopes of reviving my dull nails.
  RRP £7.85 10ml

 Glossybox lipstick in Glossy Pink

'Professional beauty lipstick for soft and glamorous lips with luminous, long lasting colour'

A little Glossybox extra, a full size 4g Glossybox lipstick in the shade Glossy Pink. Wow I didnt realise Glossybox had started to formulate its own products, what an achievement! The lipstick is a gorgeous colour that has great pigmentation and wears really well. The only downside is the packaging which isn't really a reflection of the price.
 RRP £9.50.

Overall this months Glossybox had a few superstars but others failed to meet their potential. What did you think of your Glossybox this month? Did you get some gold medal worthy items?

Festival Nails

I've been loving nail art recently and thought I'd put my new found obsession to good use by getting myself in the festival mood with festival nails! Using a pattern inspired by this summers native american trend, its actually quite simple as I've got lots of practice to do, but it looks quite effective! To help me on my nail art journey I think I need to invest in some tools as trying to paint thin lines with a thick nail brush wasn't the easiest of options :)

Nail polish used:

Models own - Blooming Pink - Base
Models own - Black Magic - Tips
Models own - Utopia - White strip
Essie - Going Incognito - Green strip

Are you going to any festivals? If so how are you going to paint your nails? :)
