Liz Earle Makeup

I am a HUGE fan of Liz Earle….I mean who isn’t? The hot cloth cleanser is the only thing that tames my unruling skin moments. Also I have repurchased countless Sheer Skin Tints: its so light and breathable – perfect for the summer months!

I am so excited to see Liz Earle branching out into the world of makeup, her new Colour line focuses on enhancing not masking your natural beauty and radiance. Having 20 years of experience with some of the world leading makeup artists Liz Earle has gained a great foundation to understanding what women want in their makeup.

Over the last four years, Liz and co founder Kim have worked together with Jane Bradley, their International Make up Artist to develop the Colour range. The range is aimed at making women feel confident about their make up. The range provides make up that works in harmony with Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare, giving results that look effortless, easy to wear colour and that reveals the natural beautiful of your skin.

The capsule collection is flattering for all ages and skin types. The range includes Perfect Fix Concealer, Light Reflecting Concealer, Natural Finish Loose Powder, Healthy Glow Cream Blush, Healthy Glow Powder Blush, Natural Glow Bronzer, Sheer Lip Gloss, Eye Pencil, Lash Care Intensifying Mascara Base and Lash Definition Smudgeproof Mascara, along with three brushes and the existing Sheer Skin Tint.

You can find out all about the latest additions here: You can also find out more by watching the ‘how to’ videos on Liz Earle TV.

I can't wait to try the cream blush and the mascaras! How about you? What would you most like to try first?

May GlossyBox and their 1st year Anniversary!

First of all i'd like to wish GlossyBox a happy anniversary! Gosh hasn't the year passed by quick...I remember all of the excitement when the first box was released like it was yesterday. Congratulations GlossyBox and thank you for continuing to provide us with an amazing set of samples each month :)

And now lets get into what I received in this months anniversary box....

This months goodies were wrapped the most adorable tissue paper : makeup and cupcakes two of my favourite things!

The surprises inside....

* A GlossyBox balloon!!
*And a GlossyBox mirror - a handbag essential!
*Noble Isle - Summer Rising Bath and Shower Gel
*Lolita Lempicka - E'au en Blanc and Si Lolita perfume samples
*Weleda - Face Cream/Body Milk
*Uniqone - All In One Hair Treatment
*Let's Go Lashes - Strip Tease

Let's Go Lashes - Strip Tease

A girl can never have too many false lashes! These ones have a translucent band which will help them blend into the lash line seamlessly :) The style is very wearable; perfect for a night out. Let's Go have up to 40 different styles of lashes and 100% human hair.

Noble Isle - Summer Rising Bath and Shower Gel

Gosh how I miss a relaxing bath! I only have a shower in my flat, so I may save this for when I pop home to see the parents and enjoy an indulgent soak! However, it can be used in the shower also. The scent is wonderfully summery: fruity elderflower and gooseberry. Ooh and its a new British brand too :)

Weleda - Face Cream/Body Milk and Uniqone - All In One Hair Treatment

Weleda products contain only natural ingredients, hoping to restore health and maintain well being. I'm not sure i'm going to use the cream on my face as its quite scented but it feels lusciously creamy, perfect for body moisturising.
Uniqlone's leave in hair mask offers a whole list of hair benefits, heat and UV protection as well as split end prevention to name a few! I'm looking forward to trying this out!

Lolita Perfumes

I have been interested in Lolita perfumes since I came across an advert either on TV or in a magazine ( I cant remember exactly) the style of the bottle instantly took my eye. These both smell amazing: Limited edition L'eau en Blanc - white violets with a hint of raspberry and musk (my favourite of the two!), and Si Lolita - a spicy freshness of sweet pea.

What did you think of the anniversary box? Did you receive anything different? :)

What i'm going to wear to my University Ball

Now that my exams are finally over *phew* I can concentrate on the things i've been desperately looking forward to for months! All of you that also have had exams/tests I hope they went well and that you're now enjoying your freedom :)

I'm going to my University summer ball in a few weeks and have found the perfect dress...not too formal but not casual. Its a gorgeous sweetheart strapless dress (those straps are just so it can be hung) and i'm in LOVE with the colour. In order to add some shape to the dress I added a skinny lavender patent belt.

I'm planning on wearing my hair down and wavy with a dainty necklace for jewellery . As for shoes, i'll be wearing my favourite pair of heels which i've had for years and brought at bargain from Debenhams.

For makeup.... i'm undecided yet, maybe something quite simple with lavender liner to tie in with the belt or should I go more on the side of light blue (might be a bit much?).
What do you guys think?  :)

** oopsy forgot to say where the dress is from ....for those of you wondering the dress is from Rare :) **

GlossyBox: Getting 'Down to Earth' April 2012

April GlossyBox have gone GREEN this month with a natural box to support Earth Month. The all natural box including its 100% biodegradable box (which is super gorgeous!), contains products and brands that supports natural packaging and natural ingredients.

Figs & Rouge Lip Balm
100% Pure, 100% Natural & 100% Organic multipurpose balm. Excellent for soothing & naturally hydrating dry lips and skin!
I’ve heard so many lovely things about this organic multipurpose balm! And it smells unbelievable!

Bert’s Bees

Naturally Nourishing Milk and Honey Body lotion

Nourishment that lasts up to a full 24 hours. 99% organic
The only product I’ve tried from Bert’s Bee’s is their orange cleanser which smelt so good I almost wanted to eat it. I’m looking forward to using this body lotion, it quite a big sample too so it should last quite a while.

Monu Professional Skincare
Moisture Rich Collagen Cream
A rich, luxurious cream to relieve dryness and smooth fine lines.
With the windy weather we’ve been having this product seems perfect to combat dryness. As for the anti ageing properties...there’s no harm in starting now!

Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum
This newly-launched ultra-concentrated serum is extremely natural and plant-based, ensuring your skin never lacks moisture.
It's lovely to see a newly launched product featured in this weeks box! And Caudalie too! With the hype around this brand at the moment I have high hopes for this product.

Inika Cosmetics
Certified Organic Eyeliner
A rich and creamy consistency unparalleled in the world of natural liners.
I’m so glad I received a black eyeliner in my box, I’m almost out of my Avon supershock and now there’s no need to buy another. I’ve tried it on the back of my hand and the pigmentation seems great.

Overall I love this box, the contents, the theme and the packaging. It seems like GlossyBox are on a roll!

Do you prefer organic products? Did you enjoy the items in your GlossyBox this week?

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

"What is this cute little pink pot I hear you ask??"

Its the new super quick life/time saver (yes. really) nail polish remover from Bourjous.

I love nail polish and if you're like me and you change your nail colour constantly then this products just for you! The one pain about painting your nails is having to take it off; I can never find any cotton wool pads, the constant rubbing to no avail, oh and don't get me started on glitter polish! So after using this 'magic' product my life, yes, has definitely become just a bit little easier.

Unscrewing the cap reveals the inside of the bottle containing a soft black sponge with a hole in the middle. Simply insert your finger, one nail at a time into the sponge soaked with nourishing almond oil and nail polish remover- both acetone and paraben free, after a few twists and your good to go, a nail polish free nail in seconds. Depending on how many coats of nail polish you have you may need another quick dip.

The nourishing almond oil is in my opinion the best part, its leaves my nails feeling smooth with an almost moisturised feel, which is heaven, instead of that dry brittle feeling other removers leave you with.

The smell is quite strange, not bad, a lot better than other potent nail polish removers. However, it still has quite a strong scent, its almost masked by the aroma of red fruit and vanilla. But really its nothing to complain about :) its the best smelling remover by far.

Overall this product in my view is a MUST HAVE for all us nail polish junkies :)
