My New Jewellery Obsession : Crosses

Jewellery trends aren't something I usually take note of, to me the jewellery pieces I buy tend to be more along the lines of 'classic' styles. However, recently crosses have been a huge hit on the runways for this spring 2012 and my lust for them has grown ever since.

I've made quite a few spur of the moment inexpensive purchases this month, and my favourites have to be:

This silver cross bar bracelet from Asos

I loved it so much I brought it in gold

These tarnished silver cross earrings from Forever21

And another gold cross bracelet from Urban Outfitters

What do you think of this trend? Or do you prefer another spring jewellery trend instead? I'd love to hear from you :) please leave any comments below

New REN Bio Retinoid Anti-Ageing Concentrate and Free REN facial

I am a HUGE skincare junkie, there's nothing more satisfying to me at the end of the day then taking the time to cleanse, tone and moisturise....ah bliss!

One of my favourite skincare brands and a recent discovery is REN. I was first introduced to REN during a facial last year and every since I have managed to acquire quite a little collection of their products. I've also planned a few reviews to come on a few of my favourites, so keep your eyes pealed :)
If your new to REN or like me are a huge fan then you might be pleased to hear that to celebrate the launch of REN's new Bio Retinoid Anti-Ageing Concentrate, Selfridges are offering a complementary mini facial, personal skincare consultation and a glass of champagne when you visit the REN Skincare Bar at Selfridges until the 31st of March.

Go on, you know you want to!

If you planning on going or have already done so, please let me know your thoughts on REN and maybe even your new favourite product?

The Ultimate GlossyBox - The Harrods Edition

For the month of March Harrods have joined forces with GlossyBox, a first in GlossyBox history! To creates a limited edition GlossyBox full of high end, luxurious and high quality goodies!

Let me start off by saying how excited I was to set my eyes on the gorgeous packaging, a limited edition design inspired by the luxury department store Harrods. When you think of Harrods you automatically think luxuriously expensive brands and I certainly wasnt disappointed when I lifted the lid on this months GlossyBox....

The limited edition box I received contained:

★ Narciso Rodriguez -  For Her Eau de Parfum
★ Molton Brown - Heavenly Ginger-Lily Moisture Bath and Shower
★ YSL - Forever Youth Liberator Serum
★ Burberry Beauty - Miniature Lip Cover - Rosewood N°4
★ Clarins - Extra Firming Body Cream

The Perfume smells gorgeous, its very light but lasts quite a while on the skin. Narciso Rodriguez's first perfume is a huge hit for me! The effort put into the packaging for this cute little sample is amazing too.

The Molton Brown shower and bath gel is also heavenly scented, im not a huge fan of ginger but the ratio was just right for me. The gel didnt dry out my skin which was a huge plus as I find most shower gels tend to have that effect on my skin.

The YSL serum I have yet to use, simply apply a drop day and evening to your skin before moisturising.

The Burberry lipstick was my favourite item in the GlossyBox this month, its just as it states  'a minature' version of the lipstick, the packaging and every detail down to the Burberry embossed print on the lipstick is there! The shade Rosewood is quite dark but im enjoying venturing out of my comfort zone.

The Clarins body lotion wasnt the main attraction in the box for me this month but a good size sample too last a long time :)

Did you receive the March Limited Edition Harrods GlossyBox? Did yours contain a variation on the products in mine? What did you think?

Blue Illume - Cleaner Teeth and a Whiter Smile (And Giveaway!)

This innovative multi purpose toothbrush is soon to hit the UK, not only does it clean your teeth but it claims to whiten them too! Perfect for those of us that are pushed for time! The new blue light technology behind the toothbrush aptly named Blue illume comes from Sweden, who’s makers have designed a toothbrush that is scientifically proven to benefit both teeth and gums. The blue light created within the toothbrush head inhibits the unhelpful plague causing bacteria in our mouths, and whilst doing so assists in whitening your eh?

The toothbrush itself is great quality; the carefully deigned handle makes it really comfortable to hold, especially with its rubbery texture. The brush head comprises of medium bristles with two blue lights dispersed between them. The Blue Light technology is completely safe to use and acts with the oxide components in your toothpaste to give a cleaner, fresher and whiter smile. I’d recommend using a whitening based toothpaste if you want to see faster results however, please be aware that long-term use of a toothpaste containing baking soda or hydrogen peroxide is not recommended.

I have just started using the Blue Illume toothbrush for myself and will be blogging about my results in the next few weeks.

Are you looking for whiter teeth? Will you be trying the Blue illume? Blue illume have kindly sent me two of their photodynamic ionic whitening toothbrushes to giveaway. So two lucky readers will receive one each to try. All you have to do is be a Google follower of my blog, like the Blue Illume Facebook Page and leave a comment on this post telling me how having whiter teeth will benefit you :) The two winners will be picked at random on the 26th of March 12pm GMT. Good Luck :)

For those of you that can’t wait and want to try this fancy new toothbrush out for yourself now, you can purchase the Blue illume toothbrush directly from their website and if you 'like' the Blue Illume Facebook Page you will be eligible for free shipping if you order online and it costs around £12.50, a vey reasonable price and more cost affective than paying out for an expensive professional teeth whitening treatment which could give you the same results.
